Summary
I strung this custom pocket on my nike legacy. All of the materials used are from jimalax except for the "shooter locks". The center track is a double x center and I used twists on the outside. The pocket sits mid low and has very low whip and hold so far. The double interlocks and twists make the pocket feel quite sturdy compared to most traditional pockets I do. Since the head was so pinched, I used thick nylons on the outside instead of leathers. This way the release won't have as much drag and the channel won't be too tight. I strung the pocket about 3/4 balls deep. This way, the pocket should break in a little bit deeper than 1 ball. I plan on using a product called leather lube to help with the break in process. Leather lube is a product used to "protect and condition" leather boots. I have used it on previous pockets and it helped break in and water-proof the pocket. I chose the all blue and white color scheme because winter is around the corner. You can follow me on my instagram account to see more pockets @kfclacrosse . I usually string pretty simple pockets (classic trads, trad x, etc.) so we'll see what happens when I step outside my comfort zone. - Kyle
